Also sometimes known as ‘invisible’ fillings, or tooth-coloured fillings, white fillings offer a much more natural and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional fillings.
White fillings fulfil the same function as a traditional filling. Filling a hole or cavity in a tooth, they repair and restore a tooth that has become damaged in some way, usually as a result of decay or sometimes due to injury or wear and tear. Unlike traditional fillings, however, white fillings fit seamlessly in with the rest of the mouth, leaving the mouth with a much more natural looking finish that no one will be able to notice.
