With dentures, we can help return a mouth with multiple missing teeth to full function, while also restoring your smile.
Dentures continue to be one of the most popular ways to replace a missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. They are a removable set of prosthetic teeth that sit over the gums, and are usually held in place with an adhesive. They are available as either ‘full’ or ‘partial’ sets.

Questions you may have about this treatment
Full dentures are used when we need to replace a whole arch of teeth. You may be living with multiple missing teeth, have multiple teeth that are damaged beyond decay and in need of replacement, or a combination of the two.
Partial dentures can be used to replace several teeth at once. Like full dentures they are removable, sitting over the gums, but are often held in place via attachments that hold onto the surrounding natural teeth for support.
Traditional dentures are usually made up of cobalt chrome or acrylic base. In most cases, the prosthetic teeth will be made of an acrylic resin although they can also be made of porcelain.
You should expect to spend a few months and several appointments receiving your dentures. We’ll first take digital scans, impressions, and measurements of your mouth here at the practice, which will be sent off to expert lab technicians who will make your dentures. Once ready, we’ll make sure the fit, bite, and comfort are correct with an appointment here at the practice, and you’ll be able to go home with your new smile.
The lifespan of your dentures depends slightly on the materials used to make them, and how well you take care of them on a day-to-day basis. Most dentures last up to 10 years.
