For a long-lasting solution to missing teeth that feels secure and natural, we often recommend implant retained dentures at Vogue Dental.
Implant retained dentures are designed to replace multiple missing or soon-to-be extracted teeth while restoring both function and confidence. Like traditional dentures, they replace a full or partial arch of teeth, but instead of relying on adhesive or suction alone, they are anchored in place using dental implants positioned within the jawbone.
These implants act as strong foundations, allowing the denture to clip or attach securely into place. This provides improved stability when eating and speaking, reduces unwanted movement, and creates a more natural-looking result. Implant retained dentures can also help slow bone loss in the jaw and maintain facial structure, giving a more youthful appearance over time.
This treatment is ideal for patients seeking a more comfortable, reliable alternative to conventional removable dentures, with results designed to last for many years with proper care.

Questions you may have about this treatment
At Vogue Dental, we’ll talk you through all suitable tooth replacement options during your consultation. Implant retained dentures offer a secure and comfortable alternative to traditional removable dentures, improving stability when eating and speaking.
Benefits include:
Treatment usually takes several months and involves multiple appointments. You’ll first have digital scans or a CBCT (Cone Beamed Computed Topography) scan to assess bone levels and plan implant placement. The implants are then placed into the jaw under local anaesthetic or sedation for comfort.
A healing period follows while the implants integrate with the bone – a process known as osseointegration. During this time, a temporary denture can often be worn. Once healing is complete, your custom-made denture is fitted and securely attached to the implants.
Implant retained dentures can be either removable or fixed, depending on your treatment plan. Removable versions clip securely onto the implants but can be taken out for cleaning. Fixed versions are permanently attached and can only be removed by your dentist. Your dentist will recommend the most suitable option based on your needs, bone levels, and lifestyle.
Most patients with missing teeth or loose dentures are suitable, but good general health and sufficient jawbone are important factors. If bone loss has occurred, additional treatments such as bone grafting may be required. Suitability will be assessed during your consultation using scans and clinical examination.
With proper care and regular dental check-ups, the implants themselves can last many years, often decades. The denture may need replacing over time due to natural wear or changes in the mouth, typically after 10-15 years. Good oral hygiene and maintenance appointments are key to long-term success.
Even if you are registered with another dentist, you can still receive implant retained dentures at Vogue Dental. We welcome patients from Bromley, Orpington, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Beckenham, Swanley, Kent, and surrounding areas of London for specialist treatments.
